Andrew Graystone is the new Director of the
Churches' Media Council and The MediaNet (formely the Association of Christians in the Media). He has taken over from someone who was an active member of the Essex Churches Media Group - Peter Blackman. The Council is the ecumenical organisation that exists to build bridges between the Christian community and the Media.
Andrew Graystone has both theology and teaching
qualifications, and he is currently finishing an MA - (Christian Mission and the
broadcast media). He has worked on BBC, C4 and ITV output, and in the
independent sector as well as for BBC Local Radio. He was a producer for BBC
Religion from 1995 -2001(latterly Development Executive). Andrew is an
experienced, broadcaster, trainer and consultant and has been involved in
politics both at local and national level. He is a member of the Church of the
Nazarene, and lives in Manchester.
Our prayers are with Peter Blackman as he moves to his new role as the first
